Angelique Wan
CEO, Co-Founder, Executive Director
Angelique’s professional background is in accounting and finance, but she has always felt a personal passion for empowering young people with knowledge on their rights, particularly as it relates to their sexual experiences.
Angelique started her career in Banking and Finance, but as consent became a national conversation and the need for consent education could no longer be ignored, she took a leap of faith. Now on a 12-month sabbatical, Angelique is Consent Labs’ full-time CEO.
Angelique has been recognised as a Finalist for the 2022 NSW Young Woman of the Year, 2021 Women of the Future and listed by Instagram as a Top 25 female entrepreneur.
Dr Joyce Yu
Co-Founder, Executive Director
Dr Joyce Yu is a junior doctor working in Sydney. Her passion for consent education was born out of her and her peers’ lived experiences during university and residential college. Joyce co-founded Consent Labs in 2016 with the goal of bringing together young people and experts to create long-lasting cultural change.
Joyce is passionate about gender equity in medicine (and the world), and is currently involved in researching the impacts of pregnancy and parenthood on surgical training in Australasia. She is also interested in medical education, in particular using social media to communicate evidence-based information in an engaging way.
In her spare time, Joyce is a self-professed ‘dabbler’ whose latest project was the CL website you are on right now.
Julia Cooper
Executive Director, Head of Legal Research
Passionate about improving consent education for the next generation, Julia is a Director and the Head of Legal Research. Volunteering previously at Youth Law Australia, Julia is committed to helping all young people understand their legal rights in relation to sexual assault, harassment and sexting and is passionate about becoming a legal advocate for women and children.
Julia will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts/Laws (Hons) in 2022 after completing her thesis, which examines the expansion of judicial directions as a mechanism to transform sexual assault trials.
Drew Thompson (he/him)
Curriculum Team; Facilitator
As one of Consent Labs’ first male identifying individuals in the scriptwriting and facilitation teams, Drew is keen to reach single-sex boys schools and bring masculinity into an active role within consent education.
Aside from Consent Labs, Drew is currently studying a dual degree of Renewable Energy Engineering (Honours) / Commerce (Marketing), with a special interest in large-scale renewable energy solutions such as wind, solar photovoltaics and hydrogen. In his spare time, he’s a sucker for sitcoms, sustainability, star wars lego and tennis.
Noah Bloch (he/him)
Curriculum Team; Facilitator
Noah is currently in second year at the University of Sydney, studying a Bachelor of Arts and Advanced Studies majoring in International Relations and Sociology. Coming from an all-boys school in Perth, Noah is particularly interested in helping young men to engage in conversations around consent and healthy relationships. As a facilitator and scriptwriter, Noah loves being a part of the Consent Labs team!
His other passions include sport and fitness, particularly playing soccer and cricket, and he loves the beach. He hopes to work full time in the not-for-profit sector once graduating university.

Alexia Wan
Head of Brand Strategy; Co-Head of Curriculum
Alexia currently works in FMCG Marketing and brings her creative passions to Consent Labs through her Co-Head of Curriculum and Head of Brand Strategy roles. Her claim to fame is that she was Consent Labs’ first volunteer!Alexia is driven to make consent knowledge commonplace and to help empower younger generations to know their worth & their rights.
Francesca Caccamo
Head of People & Programs
Francesca’s journey with Consent Labs began in December of 2019 as the organisations very first intern. Working in a range of different areas her passions quickly developed within the field of facilitating and facilitator development. In this space she was able to utilise her public speaking and performing arts experience when facilitating and training others. Currently working with the team as Head of People and Programs, Francesca is eager to develop a robust facilitator training and development program.
Katie Bird
Head of Content Creation; Co-Head of Curriculum
Joining Consent Labs at the end of 2020, Katie is the Co-Head of Curriculum, Head of Content Development and sits on the Leadership Team. Katie works on program development, drives Consent Labs’ social media channels and facilitates workshops. Passionate about inclusivity and education, she champions marginalised voices and has been awarded the IRIS scholarship through The Pinnacle Foundation for 2022.
Katie will graduate with a Bachelor of Medical Science/Doctor of Medicine in 2022.
Ojasvi Jyoti (OJ)
Co-Head of Curriculum
OJ joined Consent Labs at the end of 2020 as one of the organisation’s first male-identifying members, and brings his enthusiasm for consent education as Co-Head of Curriculum and member of the Leadership Team. He is particularly interested in involving young men in discussions around consent and redefining masculinity to focus on respect.
Currently working as a Climate Change Consultant after majoring in business at university, OJ is passionate about meaningful social change driven by young people.
In his spare time, OJ enjoys admiring himself in the mirror, dad jokes and building lego with Drew.
Jessica Schaffer
Copywriter
Jessica left her career in commercial law to start her PhD at Bond University analysing how Australian courts interpret and apply legal provisions regarding consent in sexual assault cases and in particular, whether there are loopholes in the application of the law which are allowing rape myths into courtrooms. She hopes to build a body of research supporting reform efforts around affirmative consent laws (particularly in her home state of Queensland). However, she recognises the effects of law reform are limited without societal change - which is where Consent Labs comes in! She is also passionate about providing accessible knowledge about the law as well as correcting rape myths every chance she gets.
Besides working as a scriptwriter at Consent Labs, Jessica is either swimming, running, cycling, surfing, at the gym, at the beach or trying to keep up with her two book clubs.

Andreas Thoma (he/him)
Curriculum Team
Andreas (he/him) is part of Consent Lab’s scriptwriting team. He’s passionate about starting conversations that can often be uncomfortable or taboo for single-sex boys schools in particular, and making the entire conversation about sexuality and consent a much more open, inclusive, and communicative space.
He is has finished his Bachelor in Design Computing and plans to start an honours year specialising in design for education.

Emma Silwanis (she/her)
Head of Graphic Design & Visual Content
Currently studying Media Arts, Emma leads the design and content creation for Consent Labs. After reflecting on negative experiences she and her friends have had regarding consent and sexual experiences, she has become an advocate for improving consent education and foundations for people of all ages and genders.
Besides Consent Labs, Emma’s other passions and interests include photography, patting dogs and watching tiny home interior videos on youtube.
Darren Tendler (he/him)
Curriculum Team
Darren completed a Bachelor of Journalism in 2013, then worked in the media and journalism industry for a decade, before returning to study a Graduate Diploma in Sexology. A content writer with Consent Labs, he is super passionate about young adults receiving comprehensive, inclusive and evidence-informed sexuality education.
He is currently working on his Masters/PhD, researching the sexual education curricula of Victorian private schools.
Lauren Leung (she/her)
Graphic Designer
Lauren Leung is studying a Bachelor of Visual Communications and Creative Intelligence and Innovation at UTS. She is currently working as part of the Consent Labs graphics team, helping spread awareness of the importance of all aspects of sexual consent.
Besides working for Consent Labs, Lauren’s other passions include dancing, photography and paint by numbers!
Helenna Barone-Peters (she/her)
Curriculum Team; Facilitator
Helenna is currently finishing a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Theatre and Performance and Global Development). She is particularly interested in areas of gender development and women’s safety. Helenna is incredibly passionate about the importance of comprehensive sex and consent education, and the role young people play in creating a safer, more inclusive future.
Besides her work as a facilitator and scriptwriter at Consent Labs, you can catch Helenna out surfing with fellow CL shredlord Sammi, tending to her dying sourdough starter, and hosting Up For It on fbi radio.
Sammi Carr (she/her)
Curriculum Team; Facilitator
Sammi is currently finishing her Media and Communications degree at the University of Sydney, majoring in Sociology-legal studies. Having moved to Sydney from the west-coast, Sammi helps out with facilitations and scriptwriting, and is extremely passionate about consent education. She believes that education is the way to invoke genuine cultural change, and spread awareness on topics of sexuality, gender and of course, consent.
Outside of Consent Labs, Sammi loves painting, being at the beach, or playing a round of Articulate with a red wine. You can find Sammi and fellow CL legend Helenna on Consent Labs instagram instalments of, ‘Young, Wild and Tea,’ answering your questions with a mug in hand.

Christina Chun (she/her)
Chair
Christina loves working in the social impact sector. She cares about closing the inequality gap by creating solutions, building genuine partnerships and leveraging data to improve access to quality education, resources and opportunities. It has always been about the opportunity to directly impact communities that need it the most; in a way that can be measured and scaled. Christina has been recognised as a Forbes 30U30 Social Entrepreneur (Asia), a winner in Marie Claire’s Glass Ceiling Awards celebrating trailblazing women inspiring social change, and is a UNSW 10x Founder.
Alongside being the Chair of Consent Labs, she invests her time as the COO of Social Enterprise Australia, Co-Chair of the Social Enterprise Council of NSW/ACT, and holds advisory positions across the Environmental Music Prize and UNSW Business Advisory Council.
When she's not working, you'll find her engaged in community projects with her daughters in discovering how little actions have the ability to support all people and the planet to thrive.
Barry Bloch (he/him)
Non-executive Director
In a career spanning 30 years, Barry has held a number of relevant roles in both the private and public sector, including:
• Special Board Adviser at CBH Group.
• Group Managing Director and CEO Succession leader at Worley
• Global Practice Leader at Rio Tinto
• Chief Operating Officer, BGC Contracting
• Head of Organisational Transformation for Monash Health
Barry has also worked in senior leadership roles in global professional services firms where he has led Board and Executive level individual, team and organisation assessment, development and effectiveness consulting, coaching and strategic facilitation. Barry has applied his specialism to ~15 mergers and acquisitions. He has also been Chairperson for two private sector businesses where he was deeply involved in multiple capital raisings. He has also been aBoard Director for two social enterprises including the Society of Industrial and Organisational Psychology Australia.
Barry holds first class Bachelors, Honours and Masters degrees in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of Cape Town and has previously been registered as an Industrial and Organisational Psychologist in Australia, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
